IT CREATES ARTIFICIAL NOISE TO BOOST PERCIEVED LOUDNESS ETC

ABLETON HAS A FEW DIFF TYPES THAT DO DIFFERENT SHIT (POW-1, POW-2, ETC), WHICH IS WORTH THE READ TO LEARN WHAT THEY DO

AFTER A REDICULOUS AMOUNT OF EXPIRIMENTATION TRYING TO GET A MIX TO SOUND AS CLEAN AS A MIX OUT OF LOGIC YESTERDAY AND TODAY, I'VE DECIDED NOT TO TRUST THE DITHER IN ABLETON ANYMORE AND AM GOING WITH THE FEATURES IN MY 3RD PARTY LIMITER/MAXIMIZER TO GET WHAT I NEED FROM MY MASTER RENDER

IT'S STILL POSSIBLE TO MIXDOWN IN THERE, BUT YOU WON'T GET AS GOOD RESULTS AS MIXING IN A PROGRAM THAT IS DESIGNED FOR IT

yeah ableton does lack this sort of thump. its there, but its not, really.

the mixing game is always something to be expanded upon. Definitely will read that shit.

one thing ive read and heard about is this smart mix rack one can build in ableton using a combination of ableton effects and third party shits, those that elude me. i believe its a mix of 8 channel EQ, multiband compressor/s, and limiter in some order. ive heard the term frequency aggregate when discussing this kinda over the head shit. yaoming?

YEAH, ILL GATES ACTUALLY OFFERS SOME OF THOSE THROUGH HIS SITE WHICH ARE DOPE

CURRENT VALUE MIXES EVERYTHING DOWN THROUGH ABLETON AND HIS SHIT IS HARDER THAN A BAG OF NAILS

IVE DEFINITELY MADE LEAPS AND BOUNDS ON MY FINAL QUALITY OVER THE PAST 48 HOURS BY EXPERIMENTING THOUGH. I THINK I'VE FINALLY NAILED IT DOWN TO A SCIENCE.

ITS KINDA HARD TO EXPLAIN, BUT I DON'T DITHER ON THE MASTER AT ALL ANYMORE, I BASICALLY USE THE 44100 SAMPLE RATE AS MY DITHER AND DO THE GRUNT WORK INSIDE THE TUNE.

IF THE TUNE NEEDS HELP ILL ADD SOME 24 BIT DITHER IN THE LIMITER BUT I HAVEN'T REALLY HAD MUCH NEED TO DO THAT YET

BASSLINES ARE JUMPING OUT AT ME LIKE IM DILLINJA NOW
