nobody is going to want to pick him up for that salary cause he makes more money than lebron james does. they are better off buying him out and saying later bitch. i'll be surprised if they could pull a trade off.

Fake Trade 8A: Houston trades Aaron Brooks (expires in 2011) with T-Mac, Scola and Brian Cook (all expire in 2010) for Chris Paul and the Peja-Songaila-Posey cap-killing trio. Considering Houston's deep pockets, it would have to do it -- how else could the Rockets acquire a top-10 player? And New Orleans would fall under the tax (saving them about $16-17 million this year, plus another $25-30 million next year) and replace a decent chunk of Paul's production with a Brooks/Darren Collison combo.

Yeah that would be a win for the Rockets for sure...Danny Grainger might get the kick in the ass he needs to start really beasting again.

I can't believe Larry Bird would make that trade, I'm still assuming that's a rumor, but if that's true, I'm gonna go try to sell Larry Bird some hair bleach and a curling iron, now...

Cuban going off about the Cowboys game being scheduled at the same time as a sold out Mavs game gave me a good chuckle...

And about the Andre Miller drama, yeah I guess you could expect something like that to happen, it was a bad trade to begin with. I was still happy as hell to see them mollywhop the Lakers last night

i seen it.

they have a bench that can start anywhere and they run a 12-15 man rotation. they beat unc less than a month ago and had 4 players with 20 points or more. not to mention dexter pittman can play for 20 minutes and score 20 and grab 15 boards like it's no big deal.

Re: Hoops Thread

Post by steve on Mon Jan 11, 2010 10:00 am

here's what i am on about.

d-pitt
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=31583

he doesn't even play more than 20 minutes most of his games. that goes for the whole texas roster.

they have a freshman better than john wall and that sounds off but i think wall is overrated cause nobody is turning the ball over more than wall in the country as far as the big schools go. not to mention again the lack of minutes these people play while john wall plays 33 minutes a game.
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=46196

oh and they have the beast damion james too
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/player/profile?playerId=31581
the guy averages 27 minutes a game and averages 17 points and 11 rebounds a game.

dayum. d pitt is beastin.

college sports are funny to me cuz the action is so suspenseful, they play with true grit and heart, but NCAA sports are sooooooo corrupt, it pretty much negates all the blood sweat and tears.

Re: Hoops Thread

Post by steve on Mon Jan 11, 2010 10:25 am

i like to set aside all the white collar bs and watch the kids play. the nba can be boring at times and ultimately is way more corrupt do to the fact that most of those guys are not playing with heart but for money instead. yeah the schools play for the bucks and often cheat when it comes to recruiting but look at the behavior of the people playing in the nba these days. you have bunch of spoiled primadonnas who can't behave and then you have the sore losers who are pissed off that they can't play for the lakers or the celtics and then they just give up and don't play at all.
